Got a r6 with a standard exhaust on it.Thinking of putting a micron on it.Just wandering if these are road legal and do the police stop you for these exhausts ie points fine etc .Just passed bike test so can not do with any shit off these young look at me smart arse coppers

Most of the modern aftermarket exhausts come with removable baffles, meaning they are road legal with the baffle in (and fairly quite, a bit louder than your stock exhaust) and illegal with the baffle out (loud, with is preferred by most).

I'd personally go for something road-legal. Not worth the hassle if you happen to be pulled over (more likely in some counties than others) and have somebody look over your bike.

AFAIK, it's punishable by a fixed penalty notice and possibly a rectification notice too.
