choosing a mobile phone

i need a new phone but do not have enough money to buy any new top of the ranfge phones. I was looking at getting the motorola V3 but i dont know if it has a memory card or not. does anybody own this phone and what do you think of it, also does it have a memory card?

DONT GET A V3, if you want a top quality phone for little money.

Look at either the K750i £149 on O2 ( Unlocked to any network if bough on O2)

Or the W810i which i think there about £200

Both the above have 2 megapixel camera's and have memory cards, K750i comes with a 64 mb one as standard and the W810i, comes with a 1gb one, or at least my Ex gf's did.

Also theres the W800i which is just a K750i in white and orange, but with 1gb mem card.

Dont get a v3, they're shit honestly mate. Nice looking and not much else.

I was shopping the other day, Carphone Warehouse have good deals on a Samsung which looks a lot like the D600, except it isn't a slide or flip phone. Think it was £40.

i would say dont really bother with the k750i. it is a good phone, its just that the little joystick gets pretty crap easily. go for the W810i bein as they replaced the joystick with buttons

I have a k750i and razr. The razr is much better looking (fashion accessory really) but the 750i has so much more stuff on it.

The camera is a lot better, walkman mode and generally really good.

Only the v3i and v3x have memory card slots. I was gonna get a dolce and gabanna gold v3i a while ago as well as the v3 i already had but just bought a k750i instead.

Nothing ever gone wrong with my k750i, and at £149 its a Bargain!

Mines been down the bog, had a pint spilt on it, and its still going strong top quality phone.

you can put w800i firmware on it too so that the media player is better and you can use the phone just as a walkman, for planes and stuff.

If it's like my M500, you turn on "flight mode" which disables the radio portion of the phone.

bidding on a K750i at the moment. They look very nice in my opinion although the joystick part will take some gettin use to. anyone else that owns this phone what do you think? have you had any trouble with the joystick breaking or becomng faulty in anyway?

Only the once when i got it wet, it stuck a little and took about a second to respond. But my Mates W810i which has a keypad as opposed to joystick also did it when she got hers wet.

I got a motorola pebl, but only because they threw in a free psp. Which i only wanted so i could arse around with isos and homebrews.

The pebl isn't too good to be honest.. it look's ok.. but the camera sucks.

I have a w800i and its a fantastic functional phone/camera/walkman. The pciture quality is esxcellent for a camera phone, the walkman works a treat (I've used it for numerous half marathons and its been grand) and its functionality as a phone is excellent, on par with an old nokia. Top bannana.

I did the same thing a couple of months ago, K750i to K800i. I had the 750 for a year and never had a problem with it even after various drops and bangs.

Iv got a V3i, good camera and has a mp3. Down side is its battery life is crap.

The K750i is a really good phone, almost digital camera quality photos. You just have to make sure you dont get dirt in the joy stick other wise it breaks.

Another vote for the W810i here. I upgraded to this about 2 months or so ago and it is bloody fantastic. Cracking MP3 quality and a great camera, plus all the phone features you will ever need.

You need to reflash your phone the copy the new files across onto your phone.
