duno where to post so stuck this little cannon here Confused

has anyone else had a problem with these folks? i started on Contract with them three years ago and lately things have gone right downhill with them

I've had suprious charges on my bill and numerous letters to O2 complaints. when i wanted to leave Simon at O2 retentions sweet talked me into a new tarrif with them promising me i could swap call time for txt's if i wanted to do that later... when the time came i was told O2 don't do this Evil or Very Mad they then conned another £30 for a txt bolton so i could keep my bill down.

lately my txts have been playing up, one message would get sent to someone 10 or 20 times, i call them to clarify and the chap from O2 said i might get charged and to check my bill. i phone this morning and am told i have deffinatly not being charged for the duplicate texts.. i txt a lot so how am i ment to know which numbers havn't been duplicated? i have no trust with O2 and most other folks I talk to have the same gripes

I think its time to say bye bye O2 in November Middle Finger

has anyone else had any gripes with them out of interest? Confused

Yes i have had big time trouble with them recently. Only got sorted out the other day and i haven't been using the phone since November!

Basically i sent a cancellation letter becasue i took out a new contract with 3, but when my one year was up i was still getting bills.
So after 3 months of billing i shouldnt have got i rnag them up and asked wtf was going on.
They said they never recieved the letter and so i will need to send another cancellation letter, while in the meantime they will carrying on charging me. Rolling Eyes
They also said i couldn't have posted the letter to the right address because you need to ring them up to get the cancellation address, which is bullshit because it's on their T+C's bit of the website. The guy was like "no its not!", i was like "yes it fucking is, i'm looking at it!". Evil or Very Mad

Now this was bullshit because i send the 1st canc. letter as registered post so knew they had got it. So i cancelled my DD with them, so they couldn't thieve from me anymore, and wrote a letter of complaint (along with my 2ND cancellation letter) to the complaints department.

Anyway got a phonecall the other day from a woman, who for a change wasn't a retard, apologising for the major fuckups and saying they will refund everything i'm owed! Razz

Got there in the end but won't be going with them again, shocking service! Thumbs Down

Not had any problems with them yet, but I'm about to cancel my contract with them (reaching the end of the mandatory 12-month period) and go pay-as-you-go instead. I fully expect it to be an uphill struggle.

On a related note, does anybody know the number that you call to check how many free minutes/texts you have left on contract?

I use the 02 online bill service so you can see what texts/calls etc have been made from the phone.

I have had dealings with their complanits department and the phrase "as much use as a chocolate fireguard" springs to mind! Rolling Eyes

i said bye bye to o2 start of this year and changed to orange and never regretted it, even though my mates are on o2 and rip me cause it costs them a bomb to call me. but orange gave me loads of free stuff and if you want more free stuff all you have to do is slightly moan at its thrown into the deal also.

o2 went downhill here by taking down a mast sio we would be on rooming charges with the south of ireland costing £1 a min when someon calls you. Twisted Evil

I've been with O2 for about 3 years now and nothing but excellent service of them!

I'd recommend them to ppl and a few of my mates have signed up with them.

Now T-mobile are a different story.
I gave them 3 months notice towards the end of my first year and they said oh just phone back on the day it ends, which i did only to be told i need to give a months notice and would be subject to all these charges and its a rolling contract blah blah blah

3 years on im still fighting with them about money i do or do not owe but im winning and atm they will be compensating me for harrassment undue stress taking money unlawfully and for giving me a bad credit rating

I`ve got all out company phones on 02, I wouldn't go anywhere else for a provider. Nobody else seems to have as good coverage. The only problems I've had have been with Cockphone Whorehouse, absolute shower.

I've been on contract with O2 since '98, never had a problem so have stayed with them, network coverage / signal strength is great in my opinion and they don't brand phones. Thumbs Up

Try this sim card.

I'm with o2 on pay and go service, whenever I top up by 10 quid I get 300 free text messages, I can also change it to 100 free minutes, great sim card with no problems.

As I've been with them a while now they are now giving me 10% of my credit back every time I top up.

o2 for the win Very Happy

Neutral I never had any problems with O2 & I was with them for several years so would be interested to hear if there are recent downfalls in service as I was considering returning to them shortly when my current contract ends (was talked into swapping over to Orange last year).

Speaking of phones & contracts.....Anyone seen the Nokis N80 free yet with a £30 tariff?? Razz

I used to be sub-contracted to o2 for their collections dept. What a company!!! From experiance they will not charge you for the duplicate texts.

Some of the customer service are a nightamre. They are not trained properly and really don't have a clue what they are doing.

I once spent an hour trying to get them to sort an acocunt out they had made a mess of and they kept putting me hold then all of a sudden I would end up on the phone to someone sitting next to me or they wouldn't discuss the account due to the data protection act. Shocked

I was with o2 untill i worked for them. Won't touch them with a barge poll.

I had two phones on contract with O2 a few years back, and I'm being polite when I say that their customer service was complete shite.
The problems started with a few suspicious / unknown numbers appearing on my bill which they couldn't explain... and they were also extremely unhelpful, and IMO very unprofessional.

I immediately gave them my notice to cancel both contracts - and I wouldn't go back to them if they paid me
