Getting Insurance for Croatia

If anyone could help me out here I would be most appreciative.

I am planning a tour to Croatia from England and am having a really expensive time trying to get fully comp insurance for Croatia. The best quote I can get is around £500! This would mean I would have to cancel my current insurance and start a new one.

My current insurance is fully comp for all the other countries (France, Germany, Austria, Italy and slovenia

I have heard that you can buy cover in Croatia. Is this the case? and if so how and where from?

Any help with this would be much appreciated

When does Croatia become an EU member? Couldn't you wait till then.

If the premiums are that high, there is obviously something wrong with the country.

think natv4 went through croatia last year and got insurance at the border, take a look at his writeup to be sure.

i shall be heading through the balkans next month and i do not have any insurance arranged - have faith in the border!
