My dad parked his bike in a car bay while he just ran in to morrissons, when he came out his bike was been held up by a shopping trolly. A young boy shopping with his mum had run into the bike making it lean onto the trolley - the tank is damged in two places - but they are going to be buying him a new one and at £500 am sure its one of there most expencive shopping trips!

This happened about a month after i bought my FZR600(when it looked nice).

I parked in a Blockbuster carpark, under the lamppost (at night) in a parking bay... go into blockbuster, and hear this loud crash and my alarm going off... The manager of this blockbuster had reversed into my bike. knocking it onto the floor.

She was nearly in tears when i said i had only had it for a month, and there was about £800 of damage

I never noticed until someone with a nice car pointed it out to me, but in car parks you'll often notice a smattering of half decent cars parked on the fringes of the carpark, away from all others.

People do this to prevent just such things.

Personally, I tend to park bike on pedestrain bits, near the shop entrance. But then it's been a while since I'd notice a trolley dent in one of my bikes Razz>

I had something similar happen a few years ago at a petrol station, with a car driver reversing into my bike and knocking it over. We exchanged details then and there, and he said he would ring me later. He never did.

Eventually I rang him, waking him up from bed that night, and we agreed not to go through insurance (it later turned out that he was on his last claim before he lost his NCD). As he tried to pull a fast one with me, I gave him a bill several times the amount it actually cost to fix Thumbs Up

I work in a supermarket, so im there quite alot. Every day i drive around until i get one of the spaces near the door (very highly saught after) then park my bike slap bang in the middle of the space. Now i beleive that because my bike is higher than most cars while on the centrestand it will be pretty hard to miss, plus i know that the carpark is covered by CCTV. We do have an M/C bay but there is always some absolute CNUT who parks over it (and puts thier trolley in there when they come back). I saw red one day when i guy had parked there just so he could get close to a door instead of one of the million free spaces. I stood thinking i should park right behind him to block the fucker in, but then decided no doubt he would hit my bike.

I suggest you park in the family car parking spaces, fuckem Evil or Very Mad Middle Finger

security are quite strict over here, bikes used to park up beside the trees where there was space for them but not parking space they where streight on the radios shouting out your reg and bike make on the tannoy in the shops, ok if you have a cool bike you can do the march of glory claiming its your baby but not if you have a lifan Embarassed

i park in spaces where greedy mercs take up two paces and leave no room for people beside them. Very Happy but me

Funny, I have a rule as regards parking of anything , don't park next to shit cars or bikes for that matter, never park next to a car older than an 03 plate.

My dad never listens to what I say and his Hyundai has a huge ding in the doors (two dings) from where some fat cnut in the shit car who was parked next to him opened the door into his.

Though then there are the really ignorant gits who when you are sitting in the car they will open their doors wide open and ding your vehicle.

they generally tell you to F*** yourself at which stepping on the exhaust (and snapping it off) is usually a good response.

Some people really take the piss and take up two bays cus they see your bike there (damnit we are becoming like fat americans) , and open their doors smashing their windows on your bar ends! , and trying to blame you for it.

Funnier too that in Mancs nobody parks next to the 5 NTVs where I park, though one of them actually looks clean.

I'd watch out for comapny car drivers though.

Seen an awful lot of things happen with less than a year old company cars.

Someone's going to value their 06 beemer a lot less than their 6 year old £5k car that they actually have to pay to get fixed and will lose their own NCB over.
