The waiting's nearly over...

Since February, I've been waiting to find out if I'm going to get a permanent job where I am at the moment and it's been a real rollercoaster of hopes being high then dashed then days of depression thinking it's never going to happen.
Today is the most hopeful yet - we have a set number for how many can be in our team and there was one person who had to decide whether she wanted to stay and she's decided today she's leaving. That doesn't guarantee me her job but it's a big leap in the right direction...
I'm just hoping and waiting for the manager to call me over to say I'm in with a chance but hope they hurry up coz my nails are bitten right down, my face is covered in spots and I haven't slept properly for weeks!

i am in the same boat as you since march and i just found out got the job. just waiting to start. its a horrid wait but i am sure it will turn out good in the end.
