hi
i was changing the oil this morning when i screwed the nut back in metal around the broke of just a the bottom where the threads are so its now leaks badly is there anyway round this a tempary fix or something

i was thinking either getting a longer bolt that goes past the broken part or heatproof sealant of some sort

i have got a spare sump but how easy are these to change

If it's urgent, glue it in with araldyte or similar, but replace the sump asap. Longer bolt won't help.

Changing the sump is normally easy, only complicated by having to remove other stuff (e.g. exhaust) to get to it. But do you have a new gasket to hand? you'll need one.
