Heya.

Just wondering, has anyone seen a chavy type ( you know, the BOOM BOOM BOOM everyone can hear it type ) sound system on a motorbike? Or are there any websites on about it? I wona see how one would work, if it was even possible.

you wont get bass (or not BOOM BOOM style bass) without a big acoustic chamber. Simple as that!

Rs125's do have the advantage of featuring a large cavity where an engine should be Thumbs Up

It's mostly on mopeds that you get that, because of the kind of riders mopeds often attract, and because of the large underseat storage capacity which can fit a CD player and a sub/speakers.

Hmm, the sub box thing, arnt they just full of cotton wall? thats what a mate reckons, or is he another " I no it all couse i like cars init " but knows nothing person?

If it is just full of cotton wall, then maybe I could stuff loads of cotton wall under my passenger seat! would that work? ( obviously i will make it all compact and that )

Well thats what i mean, Surely I can make a custom one to fit in my back seat, It is pretty roomie in there, Then I can put the amplifyer thingy under my own seat, then fit the speakers somewhere else, then make it all work off one of them lil mp3 players and put that at the front.

You can get waterproof amps and speakers (ebay i think), then plug your mp3, cd player etc into it. Wouldn't be difficult, maybe have the speakers in the undertray with some mud/dirt protection.

Don't do it. Shocked

It will reduce the resale value of your bike if you have to hack it up and it's pointless anyway. A good pair of headphones and an mp3 player is all a biker needs!

you can plug an ipod straight into an amp, then just run speakers to the amp, no need for a headunit.
to be honest though, i get my jollies riding, cant see the point of a big soundsystem on a bike.
still if thats what you want, good luck with it, powering it may take a bit of juice hope youve got a kick start Smile
