Pretty new to bikes. Done a thousand or so miles on it and thought i'd look over it as i've noticed things aren't quite what they were when i first bought it.

I need new brake pads for the back disc of my 2003 NSR125R as they're on the metal. Can anyone tell me what pads i'm looking for and where to get them?

Also, the front disc is a floating disc and is pretty loose to be honest. When i pull the front brake it it goes all the way to the handle bar and does slim to nothing at the moment. Is this the pads or the fact its so loose what?

So thats the brakes over with........

Indicators. Fella managed to reverse into me and i dropped the bike taking out the front right indicator. The front left didn't have a cover on it when bought and now i've got my powervalve sorted i think it caught the wind and o ne of the wires has come out of the bulb.

Due to this, neither of the left indicators work and when i flick the switch the light just comes on the dashboard without flashing. When i indicate right the back one works but the front doesn't. Will a new set of front indicators solve this?

Finally..........

Full beam, whn i'm riding full pelt the full beam can flicker on and off. Is this likely to be a dodgy connection?

Cheers for your help!

Dealer is probably best for parts, stop using the bike immediately until you sort out the brakes, indicators - yes, headlight - yes.

Your bike is going to sleep for a while now, get down to the dealer and get some new pads, check your disks for a lip on the edge and for any scoring if you have either you may need new discs as well. The front problem is likely a combo of pads with little meat on them and if you do have a fully floating disk, you dont really need that on a road bike and not a 125, the most road bikes get are semi floating, similar but they dont move around so much just a little free play for heat expansion. a fully floating disc will wobble around and tap on the pads and push the pistons back that would mean that you will have to pump them to get braking effort or just a lot of travel at the lever.

You really dont want to ride with crappy brakes, you will need them in an big way and sods law states that this will happen when you have just picked up your new stuff.

Davidsilverspares.com.....I've used them in the past for Brake pads and Discs.....If you're not sure on which ones you need just tell them the year and they'll sort them for you.....

Next thing, ever since the front brake has been having trouble i've been using the back brake, i one had to stop suddenly at a pretty high speed and there's bugger all pad on there so it was basically metal on metal.

Well i don't know if this caused it, but when i roll it with the engine off (and when its on but you can't really hear it) you can hear the back brake rubbing against the disc and it does make it more difficult to push. Is there an easy solution to this? or is it normal?

Ok.........by now it sounds like my bike is a complete deathtrap but i can assure you its not that bad!
