Firstly, sorry Dyna, mine's gotta go too, we just both chose Sunday to do it!
It was my first big bike after passing my test in November 2004. For its age it's in pretty good condition. I've included pictures to show marks and scratches to the bodywork and fork legs. I'll be honest and tell you that yes, it's been down the road once, with me on it. Before this, it was red and I had the option of doing it back up to standard condition or give it a cool satin black paintjob. I chose the later as a) it looks cooler and b) getting it back to standard would be even more expensive c) a streetfighter only looks good if you throw stupid amounts of money at it.
However, since getting it back on the road I've added a few mods to it, including a Fabri double bubble screen, scottoiler, heated grips (so there's no reason not to ride through winter), double H sintered brake pads, Hel braided lines, sweet looking half chromed wheels, a rear seat anti-slip cover (no more slippery bottomed pillions) and stainless steel header pipes. It has recently had a pair of Bridgestones (014 front, 020 rear) fitted about 2000 miles ago, and this is the same age as the oil filter, Castrol R4 fully synthetic engine oil, air filter, Hel braided brake lines, brake oil and brake pads (the brakes where also overhauled at this time too). When I bought the bike it came with Ohlins rear suspension which is FAR FAR better than the standard shock that comes on Kwackers. It also has a Meta M357T (Thatcham approved) alarm and immobiliser with its official certificates. As a first big bike, this has not failed to teach, yet still remain scary too, if I wanted it to. Both happy scratching and commuting. Basically, it can do it all. Oh, and it has a very enjoyable airbox roar that kawasakis are renown for, which is a highly addictive noise. It has service history up to when I took over the reins I started doing it all myself, including valve clearences at about 17K. I can also include a well thumbed and oily Haynes manual included with the price if you would like it. It also has all bar one of its MOT certificates - 2005 to 2006 is missing, as I don't think the garage gave it back to me - next MOT is due May 22nd 2007. It is taxed up to the beginning of June 2007.
If it was not for the thoughts of a larger bike with more touring capabilites, than I'd be keeping it - that and my 14 month ban. I've loved every minute with the bike and I'd be tempted to buy another in the future. If you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing please call me on 07866 606742. All photos were taken today.
Summary:
Good points:
Cool black paintjob, Fabri double bubble screen, heated grips, scottoiler, Ohlins rear suspension, Double H sintered brake pads, new-ish brake oil, Hel braided brake lines, recently overhauled brake calipers, stainless steel pipes, half chromed wheels, rear light seperater, non-slip pillion seat cover, new-ish air filter, new-ish tyres, new-ish oil filter and oil, long MOT and Tax.
Bad points:
Slight scratching to right side fairing (see pic), scratched right fork leg (see pic), cracked right mirror but glued back together - it works better than standard! (some git pushed it over - see pic), slight crack around right mirror mount with paint chipping (from aforementioned git - see pic), a few scratches to the exhaust can(see pic), couple of scratches on the frame.
Looking for about 2K. It's on ebay from Tuesday night - ending Sunday at 2100. Item number is 320014789983, reserve is 1900
