I'd like some recommendations for a free (not searching for some cracked program) movie editor. Shareware/Open Source would be good, but if not then the trial period of something commercial will do.

Prefer relatively simple. I just need to splice some clips together, rotate them and add some music.

I can't remember, are you mac or pc?

As far as freebies go you have i-movie for the mac (which is actually ok! or there is windows movie maker (ugh) for pc.) Both of those will actually do what you are after!

Cheers Rob! Didn't even realise the movie program was already on the computer!

Here is my first attempt at movie editing.

Hi

I know it isn't free, but a reasonable deal at the moment is Studio 9 DV complete with Firewire card and cable for £25 from PC World.

All the best

Keith
