I've noticed recently that on my commute back home I tend to get a bit tired and lazy and my riding style changes somewhat.

In the mornings I'm "in" the bike and when cornering my arse cheek is off the seat, head tucked in and looking through to the vanishing point, and knee hanging out a little.

In the afternoon I tend to put about half an arse cheek off, don't hang off nearly as much. But the main difference especially in exiting the corners is the way I lean the bike, I'm almost ontop of it and forcing it over on its side with my arms and legs, so my body sort of stays as upright as possible but the bike is leaning over still.

Probably doesn't make much sense but was wondering if the latter technique is bad/good/dangerous ?? Eh?

All this hanging off stuff will make practically no difference on the road.
Just concentrate on keeping everything smooth and look carefully ahead to plot your exact road position through bends so as to avoid all the bumps and slippy objects.

Sounds pretty much like how the police riders corner. Keeps your head higher so you've got better vison through the corner.

Major disadvantage is that the lent over futher than it would be if you were hanging off, therefore possibly less grip. Also much harder to rapidly lean more if the bend tightens.

Like doggone said though, won't really make a lot of difference on the road at legal(ish) speeds on roads you know pretty well.

Real question is though - If you are changing your riding style are to too tired to be paying enough attention?

Might be worth having a cuppa and a quick bite to eat before you leave work just to make sure your concentration levels are up where they should be.
