Could do with some advice here..

Basically a girl i've known for years, who has been my girlfriend on a couple of occasions and a good friend in between that.

Let's call her "Flo".

Now like i said, we used to be an item. She decided that it wouldn't work out. So she made the decision to 'just be friends' - I should've cut ties there and then really - That was ok, then she started being a pain in the arse.

She knows how i feel about her, and i'd love for us to be an item again even though we split up years ago.
I think she knows this, and uses it to torment me.. She'd tell me who she'd been shagging and when.. as if to just gauge if i got jealous.

then she tried shagging my brother.. and even though he said nothing came of it.. he's always been the least trustworthy brother out of the three. When i told her that was below the belt, she somehow managed to turn it on its head so that it was me that was in the wrong.

We hardly see each other anymore, and she'd sometimes suggest we meet up and have a laugh, which gets me excited, i jump at every minute of time i can spend with her, even though i know she drives me nuts. but she always cancels, always some last minute excuse.

So tonight after telling me She got her tongue pierced just so her current sexual conquest can enjoy better blowjobs, i'd had enough.
I told her i was sick of her trying to rub my face in it all the time.

So in no uncertain terms and alot of swearing, i told her i never want to see her, or hear from her again.

I just don't know if i've made a mistake or not.. ??

Advice?

Good on you. Thumbs Up

Needed to be done. All she was doing was dragging up the past.

To put things in perspective. I met my ex five year ago whilst in my last year at Uni. We were an item for 3 years moving from one place to another until I finished the relationship because we would just argue 24/7 and my life had became miserable with her.

After the split we remained in contact and over the past two years we have actually created a rock solid friendship and I trust the girl implicitly (I'd trust he with my life). I've helped her out at times when no one else would and she has done the same for me.

However, I don't tell her about my latest sexual conquest or about how I received good head from a chick with a tongue stud because of respect. We are good friends and I believe it would hurt her if she heard me say those things to her. Conversley I don't want to know who she's shagging either.....and I'm really comfortable not being told (us guys really don't need to know everything).

So what I am saying is, well, theres nothing wrong with keeping friends with an ex. A truly good friend is priceless. However, truly good friends respect each other so I find it hard to believe she truly is your friend when she is telling you about trying to blow your brother. You did the right the thing, a friend doesn't stab you in the heart like that.

Too right thats below the belt. If she was truly interested in you, she wouldnt be doing that.

Sounds like she is playing head games and wiping the floor with you. Surely you deserve better than that.

Whilst ever you are involved with this girl, then your not going to be able to form other relationships. She crooks her little finger and you come running..thats not right.

I think you should forget about her, let her go and move on.......whilst you have some self respect left.

If you're just really good friends, there's nothing wrong with sharing this kind of information with each other.

That's the rub. You're not just really good friends. You want more from the relationship and she presumably doesn't - and if she knows that and still goes on like this, she's not much of a friend anyway. Steer clear.

I wouldnt classify this person as a friend, what a complete waste of your time and energy. Concentrate spending your time with people who deserve it.

If I were you I would pretend she didnt exist, blank her...she deserves nothing from you.

Try and move on, because if you finally meet someone decent then the new girl will not want 'Flo' hanging around anyway!!!

yeah good riddance
The other thing I have noticed from spending time with bad grils, is you can become unreasonably suspicious of any nice girls you meet and so miss out.
Of course her type tend to use the phrase "some people take life too seriously" and feel this covers any of the ways in which they treat people badly.

Might be ok if kept at arms length, but probably safer to just get rid.

The other thing is, she would distract you from going out and finding a nice girl which would be a better use of your time.

No "friend" would ever put you through that if they are aware thats how you still feel about them.

Ditch the bitch and stay clear, not worth the pain!

I'm with Clanger on this one. I was in a similar position some years ago, and I know how difficult it can be to let go, but she's just stringing you along mate.
With a so-called friend like that, you're better off out of it Thumbs Up
