Apparently they do this

Stock valving pistons have very restrictive ports. This makes it impossible to get the ultimate results with the stock pistons. Gold Valves triple the flow area putting valving control on the shim stack instead of the overly restricted stock piston. This results in outstanding tuneability, improved control, traction, plushness and bottoming resistance.

Includes complete instructions, Gold Valve Pistons, Valving Charts, and Valving Shims. Most models also include the "Technical Edge Fork Maintenance and Gold Valve Installation Video".

Also inc are Race Tech Fork Bushings are high-tech, very low friction, Teflon (PTFE), FEP and Tin composite coated bushings for unsurpassed anti-friction properties. They are exact O.E.M. replacements


I'll be fitting them into stock SP1 forks, reckon there will be much difference before I waste £55 on the kit or is it something that should be fitted with other things.

actually quite god kit. But id heard of them more for older bikes, to replace od dampers with something cleverer.

Race tech kit is top notch, thoroughly recommended. Worth upgrading the springs to monorate as well, spring weight based on your own weight and weather you want it set up for road or track, see Racetech's website for a spring rate calculator.

I maybe tempted, does £55 sound like a good price for a brand new kit?
