Greece...?

Has anyone here been to Greece? Is it crammed with interesting things to see and explore? Has anyone been there during winter, if yes what's the weather like?

Has anyone worked there for a long amount of time?

I am considering a job...and I want to know what Im in for before making the commitment.

I've been to one of the Greek islands (Kos) but not mainland Greece.

Actually, i'm flying there again tomorrow on holiday Mr. Green

Before i start rambling about the place, would info on Kos help or not? Laughing

My boss spent 3 years living in Greece, she works in the catering industry and said she had the best time of her life, but work was hard. Really busy all year round, and the winters are going to be mild.

If there's one place you should visit she said it's a beach called Nostis - she loves it so much she named her dog after it. Wink

Dunno if I need any info on Kos, Ive been looking at the map, and Im sure it's in and around Athens. I'll do some web searches.

Been to Corfu a couple of times and then mainland Greece as well. The Greek weather during the winter is worse than ours, hence a closed season for holiday makers.

This is the actual yearly forecast in degrees C, not cold at all!!! In fact VERY mild compared to our winters. Perhaps the resorts close so that the people can have a rest!!!

Isn't it Athens that has a number plate scheme to cut down on their heavy congestion? I'm sure it's something like odd numbers are allowed in one day and even the other.
