Has anyone else had the misfortune to be involved with these bunch of monkeys ?
What an absolute shower of thickos
Started 2 weeks ago, my car (parked), was hit by some bloke
My insurance company told me that D.A. would call me regarding my hire vehicle
Didn't happen
I called THEM
They said they couldn't release a car to me as they only had the blokes details, address/telephone number, car reg, but not his policy number
And they couldn't call him to find out !
So... I got hold of him, eventually, rang them back, jigging about a lot..eventually got a car released to me. All my work and effort
THEN they said they were sorting out an engineer to do a 'home inspection' of my car, as it was undriveable
It is most likely a write off
Now... 2 weeks later nothing has happened
Called them this morning
"YOU have to take the car to 2 garages for estimates madam" !
Well.. that wasn't what you told me 2 weeks ago
"Oh, yes it was..well, that is what you need to do"
It's undriveable
"Well, you will have to find 2 garages that do home inspections"
Okay ...called my insurance company... "Your case is CLOSED here, you need to contact the third partys insurance"
Okay... called NIG (his ins)
"We will get an engineer to call you about a home inspection"
Haha
Back to square one
THEN to add insult to injury, Drive Assist just called me (as I am going to Ireland for a week on Saturday and they want my hire car back)
Some ARSEY bloke wanted to collect my car in the morning
I told him I needed the car until Friday night
"BUT you are going on holiday on Saturday morning aren't you"!!??
Yes, but I still need the car
"Tut..it's going to be verrry difficult"
NOT MY PROBLEM IS IT !!?? Jesus
"Okay, I will collect it Friday tea time then"
Not much choice have I
Even though I have paid for insurance up to Saturday morning
Idiots
Rant over
Why can't these companies just do things smoothly
Result = headache to start off the day
Is it ALWAYS like this ??
I have never, ever heard of things going completely straightforward

Hi,
Yes it is hard work, I suggest you keep a log of everything so If they do not get the arse in gear you can complain.
Regards

Bizzare.
My crash, the only people who seemed to actually know what they were doing were Hexagon Motorcycles, who provided me with a hire bike*.
They managed to sort stuff out when the insurance compaines were dithering and being generally rubbish
*Which I crashed. Sorry about that |

If it was the other guy's fault, just ring a different accident specialist and get them to sort it all out. The only one I've used is helphire and they were great - brand new hire car the same size as my own within 12 hours for as long as it took my car to be repaired, all charged to the other guy's insurance. They'll also arrange transport of your car to a repairer. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |
