Hello All.

Writing to say that I managed to pass my big test today as well. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits and I really didn't think I'd pass!

In my final bike lesson I managed to drop the bike twice, including a very interesting yet unintentional stunt wheelie over the kurb while attempting the more pedestrian 'turn in the road' manouever, and in my pre-test lesson I was a right bag of nerves. Needless to say that my preparation didn't exactly fill me with confidence for test day.

Neither had I ridden in the wet before, so I wasn't exactly pleased to see rivers of water running along the streets of Telford this morning. The bike squirmed a couple of times on test, I'm sure it wasn't much, but it felt quite interesting for the first time! Anyway, in the end I passed with one minor which I thought was a bit crazy! Was the instructor actually paying any intention at all?

While here I really must reccommend Approved Rider Training for all Telford/Shropshire learners (No, I don't work for them and I'm not being paid for this!). There are three instructors (I think) and Alistair, the proprietor, is fantastic - I couldn't have had a better instructor. I have heard some horror stories of instructors shouting and belowing at learners (we are the customers, remember?) but Alistair was calm, never raised his voice on any occassion (despite my stunt riding antics) and instilled confidence. Thanks Alistair!

Anyway, I hope to get a ZX6R by the end of the month and then I can really start learning.

Thanks everybody! Ok, I'll get myself off to the Midlands' Forum - I'm from Telford.

I think I'm going to plump for a G or J 6R, my pennies will hopefully stretch to around £2,400.
