it's one of those questions you want to answer but you know you'd be sitting there for ages trying to think of everything good and bad Laughing

basically pros - bikes, community, thrills, exploring, no queues, quick, cheap, freedom etc et

basically cons - getting kit on and off but that time is saved during the journey, not as sociable whilst en route, no creature comforts..

for me going out on a bike is a new experience every time, unlike everyday mundane boring old cages.

Good Points- The community, the looks, the different sounds, the hooligan element, getting intimate with your bike when washing and maintainin and lastly just the fact that bikes are fanny magnets Laughing Thumbs Up

Bad Points- Going to the pub for quick beer is a task, having to juggle your helmet, beer and change, Alpinestars boots squeaking like a bastard in pub, and lastly getting piss wet through Evil or Very Mad

But, fuck having another car, im 20, free and single and dont have any kids, and no woman makes me choose between her and the bike.

Good points are there to see.

Only bad point, for me, bleedin' rain. It's not that you get wet, because the all in one suit sees to that. It's just that you can't get it on as much. Sad

Good - The rush, the freedom.

Bad - Small contact patch with the ground.

There's too many good points, the freedom, the sense of speed, the ability to outperform all cars.

My major downside is the weather, the time from late November till March, where the bike stays in the garage (Salt and ice, no thanks).

Alongside the rain, I rode 4 hours from Scotland last week, in torrential rain, all my gear became soaked, water in boots, I was shivering, hard to concentrate etc. (I have now purchased a 1 peace rain suit and will keep in rucksack at all times).

i thought that riding a bike in the rain would be on my list of bad things, i tried it today and apart from locking the back wheel a couple of times (how did i manage that the rears a drum brake) it was still fun, roundabouts were a bit scarey though.
tbh its a bit like red sex, not something you look forward to but once you get on with it its still great Embarassed

OK, OK OK, come on own up who switch the polarity on my bike Surprised

Good, geezzz to many to list, love sunny days, not roasting though, tight corners, fast bends, going into corners too fast Laughing finding the edge ! but 1001 other things too.

Bad. errrr well the wet cold humid UK weather and car drivers. They really are the only two though.

I really don't like my car, every time I drive it I usually always at some point end up wishing I was on the bike.

Good points - too many to list

Bad - Icey fog, it's not fun standing up and having bits of ice fall off you and having to scrape the ice off your visor while you wait for your carbs to unfreeze Mad

Good
*I like the adreneline rush I get from riding my bike stupidly fast. There's nothing in the world that beats that.
*I like the freedom they afford, in that you can zip past cues of traffic and slow drivers.
*I like being the antisocial MF with the race can.
*I like pulling wheelies - lots of wheelies.

Bad
*I've woken up on many a winters morning and felt like crying when i've looked out the window and saw a sh*tload of ice, knowing that I have to ride a 1000cc sportsbike 60 miles to work and back.
*It takes ages to put all the protective gear on.
*Contrary to popular belief few girls like bikes.
*When I go for a ride out and reach my intended destination I become uncomfortable with all the protective gear and don't stick around for long.
*Bikes get nicked.

Good points for me would be all of the above... speed, finding some great twisties, getting away from it all, freedom, the meets, the fact that every bit of road is different from when you see it through a car windscreen, the social side, the way you are a part of the bike and control it with your whole body, i could go on all day...

Bad point... It's broken Evil or Very Mad

Bad Point - wearing a one-piece suit to work and back, especially if you work in an office - you need a shower after getting out of the thing.

Good Point - feeling invincible when you wear it out on the road.

Filtering is also a massive good point - being able to half your journey time compared to a car is simply great, plus using half the petrol and going twice as fast, well maybe three or four times faster.
