Hello.

My Mozilla Firefox is running very slow, i just formatted my pc so it's clean of all crap but since then everything is going slow, sometimes it even times out where it takes so long (Like starting a new thread) & Outlook Express takes ages to delete an email.

I remember somone posting alternative connection settings for Firfox but can't find the thread.

Anyone have an idea?

I'm on NTL 1mb.

Thanks.

It does help on other sites, much faster loading, but for some reason other sites like BCF, Ebay & Outlook just take ages.

Im not on Firefox, but ive been having the same problem with my PC today, its fresly formatted. I deleted both partitions, created fresh and everything.

Its finally got its self back to normal in the past hour. Its because where it was formatted, then freshly connected, Everything was trying to update at the same time slowing down the whole machine.

Make sure everything has updated if it hasnt already.

The freeware stuff is actually better then ones you can buy, you will regret installing Norton. But if you want it then get it from a torrent.

I'm using AVG & i download all sorts of crap, & it's never let me down.

Try installing all m$ updates, avg anti-virus, lavasoft spyware and also download software called registry mechanic.

Run reg mechanic and it will sort out your registry system. Usually doing that sorts out most problems on your pc. I have used it about 6 times where it has sped up the pc and internet loads and generally makes the computer run nicely (even after a fresh install)

Outlook try to compress the folders, otherwise do a hidden search for folders.dbx and delete it!

You might have a currupt dbx file deleting it will mean a fresh one is crated when you next run OE!

NP! One of my schools was having a sim issue. Sometimes it would take upto 20secs to open or delete an email!

delting the folders.dbx file fixed it!
