NSR Toolkit & Oil Change

I've just bought a 2001 NSR Foxeye, It looks like its not been serviced for a while and it didn't come with a toolkit.

I don't currently have any tools except for a couple of screwdrivers and want to change the plug, the oil, check the chain etc so am planning on making up my own kit.

Can anyone tell me exactly what tools I will need?

Also, on https://www.nsr125.com there are two references to changing oil, changing gear oil and topping up with 2 stroke. If you change the gear oil doesn't it do the full system?

did you have a look under your seat ? normaly nsr125 are provided with a basic tool box as shown on the pict . plug spanner , back wheel axis nut spanner with extensions , 10-12-13 spanners , a screwdriver conbined flat-phillips , 2 position pliers , allen spanner for lifting the tank . for the gearbox oil change , it's a long bolt to take off (left side under the engine) . the quantity for gearbox is 700cc of 10/40W , the 2 strokes oil must be full synthetic and the bottle is on the right plastic white bottle with a black cap . this contain about 1 L and when it's level is low a led blink on your clock , not panic when it happens , you've got about 30 miles before problems .

Thanks for that, I haven't actually had a look for the tool kit but I've had the seat off and didn't see it so either I need my eyes testing or its not there.

The oil isn't low its just really black and looks quite disgusting so I'm assuming it needs a service

- off to check for toolkit/bodge my own

call david silver spares 01728 833 020 and ask for a tool set reference 89010 KBS 900 ( i dont know the UK price , in france it's about £50 , but in UK pricing is 20-30% less)
you have also the workshop manual avaiable on my ftp

I thought mine hadn't come with a complete tool kit untill I looked down the side panel at the back and found most of it down there.....
