Took a few pics of my hornet last night. Washed it the other week and added my tank pad and rim tape.

She looks sweet

Cant wait for some sun shine so I can get out on her again.

Looking very nice indeed!

Although, if it was mine, those engine bars would be off in no time! Razz

Any plans to do any aftermarket mods?

A race can is a must. Then start looking into the hornet cup and their parts.

They have some pretty cool seat units/rearsets etc.

lets av a pic of it with no flash then, im with gaz on this one at the mo, rim tape can look good, but with the flash on in those pics it looks wrong..... personally id loose the crash bars too, if your paranoid still get a set of R & G 's on it not quite as in your face chromy bling! bit more racey, probably not as much protection though? maybe a carbon front fender to match the rear hugger? undertray with led rear lights/indicators built in? depends what you like really? and while the rear rack thing is probably very handy, id loose it and use a backpack. spoils the nice lookin tail on the bike. quite like the screen aswell, big differance this time of year!
im liking the tankguard by the way, very patriotic Thumbs Up

rim tape!

I like it, much better in the flesh.

The rack on the back tried to take it off last night need the original screws and I didnt get them with the bike so until I get some cant take it off.

I have a front fender extender on a pyrimad one.

I am looking at a rear LED brake light with the indicators built in looks sweet.

The tank pad matched my lid! hee hee

The screen is not bad at deflecting a bit of wind and doesnt look too bad.

Bars defo staying on though, I quite like em too. Bitta bling hee!

Looking nice, almost as clean as mine Laughing I have toyed bout the rim tapes for mine but still cant decide tbh. An aftermarket can is a must, will make it look nice and sound sooo much better than the standard.

I suppose technically you should tell the insurance, but realistically no-one does.

I'd go for whatever's on eBay, depends on your budget really. Jay had a carbon can company can on his bandit, that was nice.

As G said, spending most of your time riding it is the best investment for sure.

Still, that said; Hornets also love to be modded! If you'd like some inspiration go to https://www.hondahornet.co.uk/, they love modding their Hornets on their.

As you've got a blue hornet, a BlueFlame can would look very nice indeed. As for insurance, I've never had a problem before when declaring (as long as it's road legal and under £300). Definitely keep and eye out on ebay, you could save a bundle. https://www.blueflameperformance.com/bike/evo_race_cans.asp

An undertray will also tidy the rear up no end. https://www.ermaxuk.co.uk/pages3/dbb.php?code=1&flag=1

After that it can all get a bit silly (the list is endless) but I'd say the two listed above are worthwhile mods for the Hornet.

If you are worried about taking the bars off R&G crash bungs would be a nice compromise. Oh, and fly screen are only needed by commuters! Razz

I got my Micron can off of Ebay, I was determined to get one and spotted this one for my bike and just kept an eye on it til the last minute then wacked in a higher bid to ensure that I won and I did! Paid about £70 for it, looked one up brand new and would of been around £200! Was chuffed as nuts when Nick fitted it for me, the new sound of my bike was wicked Laughing

I did enquire about this Pte with the guys at our Honda dealers as it was all new to me and they said it was fine to simply slip it on, no need to do anything, it wasnt as if I was gonna use my bike for racing purposes they said, and it runs just fine. On that note though I may get it all tuned up when it has its service just to get it running at its best since it will be in anyway Very Happy

What mine?? Well thank you Laughing Have had a few comments when I have been out on her, nice, clean etc, is it yours, bla bla bla. Chatting to a lady the other night, she wanted to sit on it for size as doing her test soon but only being short wants something not too high and heavy, found the hornet about right. It will do for now but one day I know I will have to move on and try something else Thumbs Up
