another bike?

Hello everyone, ive got a friend who has offered me a 1984 bmw k100 (without the fairing) it needs a new rear caliper fitting (which he has already got) hes after £200 as it stands or £300 with an mot. He has built the bike up from parts, which concerns me a little but he does seem to be a competent mechanic.
Im thinking of stepping up from my 250 superdream, to add this bike to my insurance is only an extra £42 which i think is a bit of a bargain.
Im not after a sports bike as i dont want a lot of weight on my wrists, i prefer to be sitting more upright.
just wondered what you all feel about this, could it be a bargain or shouldnt i touch it with a ten foot bargepole.

Get it with the MOT, make sure there's nothing falling off and you won't lose a massive amount of money providing it lasts you most of the year Smile
