Just found out whilst at the police station giving a statement that UK security is at a CRITICAL level due to some terrorists.

Well thats fluffed my weekend up as i am due to fly out to guernsey for 5 days and im not able to take my helmet on the plane as it is classed as hand luggage Evil or Very Mad

Dont believe this is happening - need to get my helmet to Guernsey as i will be using a motorbike over there and the possibility of heading into france for a couple of days.

They should let it go still, just maybe not in the cabin with you. Up to you though as that could be a bit of a risk.

Nice to see we are at critical alert meaning something should be blowing up any time now. Thanks for that!

To be honest though at least they seem to have stopped the main attack. Good work it seems. Falling bits of burning plane are never nice.

Bubble wrap it and put it in your normal luggage.

I put mine in the middle of my rucksack once, surrounded with clothes and I wasn't worried (but then I'm not one of these people who believes their lid should be stored in a hermetically sealed room when not in use Smile)

You'll have to check the helmet in then mate , bring loads of bubble rap and box it.

If you were riding to the airport, I guess you'll have to go in the car now.

You can thank our muslim friends for this.

no you can thank the government for this , nothing like controlling the population like raising the terror alert level, ever see the US alert level leave the top 2 tiers of risk? ,

terrorism is BS , no really think about it 70 people die oh such a tradgedy , considering 3000+ people die in car accidents 10000 men die from cancer, its not very effective,

still theres an old saying

Regime change - killing many to change the few
terrorism killing few to change the many

Put the helmet on, shout a lot and tell them your special and it's to stop you hurting yourself.

Stinkwheels a vet, he could write you a note!

Shame about your helmet. I'm sure the possibly thousands of lives that have been saved will go in some small way to ease the pain of your lost weekend in Guernsey.

Im surprised you can fit your inflated head in a helmet.

Controlling the population? Wtf? They just stopped a bunch of people blowing up some planes and you're moaning _again_?!

Terrorism is bullshit? Hope you make exceedingly good cakes, because you make crap statements.

Just because people die in accidents and disease means that we should think less when people are deliberately murdered?

Well im in guernsey now, the only things they would let me take on the plane were my wallet, passport & money - everything else had to go in bags.

They have gone and lost one of my two bags which contained the following items ...

1) helmet
2) gloves
3) jacket
4) mobile phone
5) bike, flat and lock keys
6) tank bag

Talk about cheesed off - they reckon it will come on tonights flight and are going to contact me and get it sent out to me in a taxi.

The woman at the airport in guernsey was asking for a contact phone number off me - it was on my mobile in the bag they have lost Evil or Very Mad

The terror alert was raised quite simply because a group of fanatic islamic extremists planned to kill thousands of people, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexuality - purely because they were travelling to America from the UK.

Question[/quote]

my point was the response to terrorism is way disproportionate , considering the risk factor is smaller than say riding a motorbike.

and to your above comment , says who? , the government? , the government have cried wolf once too many times, in recent memory I recall:

SAMs @ Heathrow = tanks at airports (false alarm)
the Ricin plot which was ridiculous to start with
forrest gate
JC de Meneze
the scottish finger print fit up.

I'll applaud when there are convictions but not before.

Question

as said , says who? ,

the ever reliant government ? 45 minutes from WMD destruction they said , although it only portrays one point of view go look up a torrent called the power of nightmares , I'm not saying that it is correct but it raises plenty of interesting points,

and when you see anti terror powers used to curtail any dissent (walter Wolfgang , fathers for justice) ulterior motives are quite obvious.

Didn't george washington say along the lines of in a democracy you must question everything the government does

remember the government do NOT have your best interests at heart,

Question

August 14, 2006(Craig Murray) https://www.craigmurray.co.uk/

The UK Terror plot: what's really going on?

I have been reading very carefully through all the Sunday newspapers to try and analyse the truth from all the scores of pages claiming to detail the so-called bomb plot. Unlike the great herd of so-called security experts doing the media analysis, I have the advantage of having had the very highest security clearances myself, having done a huge amount of professional intelligence analysis, and having been inside the spin machine.

So this, I believe, is the true story.

None of the alleged terrorists had made a bomb. None had bought a plane ticket. Many did not even have passports, which given the efficiency of the UK Passport Agency would mean they couldn't be a plane bomber for quite some time.

In the absence of bombs and airline tickets, and in many cases passports, it could be pretty difficult to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that individuals intended to go through with suicide bombings, whatever rash stuff they may have bragged in internet chat rooms.

<Snip read on site if you want>

We then have the appalling political propaganda of John Reid, Home Secretary, making a speech warning us all of the dreadful evil threatening us and complaining that "Some people don't get" the need to abandon all our traditional liberties. He then went on, according to his own propaganda machine, to stay up all night and minutely direct the arrests. There could be no clearer evidence that our Police are now just a political tool. Like all the best nasty regimes, the knock on the door came in the middle of the night, at 2.30am. Those arrested included a mother with a six week old baby.

For those who don't know, it is worth introducing Reid. A hardened Stalinist with a long term reputation for personal violence, at Stirling Univeristy he was the Communist Party's "Enforcer", (in days when the Communist Party ran Stirling University Students' Union, which it should not be forgotten was a business with a very substantial cash turnover). Reid was sent to beat up those who deviated from the Party line.

And if you have been listening , the government is in the FINAL stages of introducting the LRPA the

Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legislative_and_Regulatory_Reform_Bil
l

whats this act? , it essentially is the New Labour equivilant of the Nazi 1934 Enabling act , if allows New Labour ministers to make laws without going for a vote in parliment, there ARE NO safeguards and no oversight, such that Blair does not even need to whip people in the commons he says this and that and it instantly becomes law.

It also has even more powers , it can be used to amend itself so the only two safeguards:

Imprisonment for more than 2 years
Raising taxes

can be amended by the Legislative_and_Regulatory_Reform_Bill such that these two can be erased once it gets into power

history teaches us plenty of lessons and such propaganda is always used to soften people , or exploit such situations , normally the Lords the ONLY protection of parliment these days ,

This bill gets through? , tommorow you shall be on your knees worshiping Blair as god , this act gives him that power
