Or miles per tank in the real world.

I find the mpg figures aren't really worth much in the real world as it depends on how big your tank is and/or how comfy the seat/riding position is. I guess riding style has something to add as well Wink

So just interested in getting some figures.
What's your:
a) Bike
b) Miles per tank for it and
c) Miles to numb bum/aches for it?

Thanks.
Any other info welcome.

Thumbs Up

P.S. did a search for this on here but couldn't find anything useful.

Bike) Bandit 600 S '97.

Tank range) I can now get 147miles to a ~£14 tank. Before I had the plugs and air filter changed it would only do 119miles.

Numb bum range) Well into 200miles, well over 3 hours. Very good motorway/touring bike.

I quote my tank range as until I hit reserve. As soon as I hit reserve I head for the closest petrol station. Which was once 30miles away, most scared 30miles I've ever done.

NTV650 - motorway = 300 miles (to dry nothing left ) , ie I start out in Manchester and ride to cornwall with a full tank 180 miles later I stop and put £10 in (at motorway prices), which fills it to the top again, since me tank is about 20 litres if I risked it I could in theory get 340+ miles out of it , though I don't want to risk it.

I did this trip with 240 litres of luggage and there was no difference av speed 80mph constant not tucked in or anthing.

NTV650 before my dad accidentally tipped a whole bottle of redex into me tank still redex can be bought for £1.35 a bottle from a local fixer (I used to be a fixer ah happy times) £12 for 100 miles.
he didn't tell me either. (city riding commuting)

After the redex incident I can get 120 miles for £9

Recently due to the fact that people have been chasing me couriers have been racing me its £9.25 for £120 miles.

Arrow 2003 ZX6R

Arrow light comes on at 120

Arrow Depends really. It's quite an aggresive riding position so if you can keep up a decent pace I can ride for hours at a time, 200+ miles. If it's slower then after 30 miles everything is sore.

Honda XR125
Usually fill up around 170-ish miles (85-100mpg)
Never had it happen because I don't go long distances.

It depends how fast and how aggressive I feel like riding. Usually:

a) Hyabusa 1300 / Intruder 1400

b) God knows, I fill well before it is close to empty / dito

c) Usually about 200-250 miles during a good ride out for the day / Never had a numb bum on this bike.

It depends on the target. If it is a smelly sandal wearing terrorist that I would plant it on his head from 15 miles. It's a challenger 2. I fitted bigger powerbans, lol.

a) ZXR 400

b) I fill up whenever I reach about 100. Could probably get about 110-20 but the tank would probably be dry as a bone.

c) Sometimes I can ride for a while and not feel anything, other days my arse will start to numb at about 30.

1 - ZXR400

2 - 120-140. I managed 146 out of my last tank before it went on to reserve (depends how I ride, and NO it isn't running lean)

3 - Usually get a numb arse after about 40-50 miles, sometimes more sometimes less.
