I'm probably well behind the times but I have just been told that Triumph Motorcycles have opened a manufacturing base in Thailand. I remember that when Dyson moved there the overall quality went right down the pan. What is happening at the English end now or is it just a marketing operation?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

People want to pay less for their goods.

I do actually believe in supporting british industries.
However, like most people I'm selfish, so if I can get something that's been made abroad for less, or that's better for it, I'll do that usually.

For a long time now Triumph had had many parts manufactured/machined abroad. They always assemble bikes in the UK though so they can keep a check on standards.

It was, but they are starting to build bikes there in another factory for sale in some countries.
