Does anyone have experiences of this bike? Is it a good first bike? Are parts easy to acquire?

Hopefully picking up one next week, but no idea whether to use it as my main steed or get something else when I sell the CG.

Cheers,

T

You'd be better off looking for a 400 Bandit, they're excellent little bikes.

Super looking, plenty quick enough and easy to find spares.

I had one for 8 yrs, highly recommended. Thumbs Up

I'd just leave it alone mate, don't spend anything other than necessary money and bank the rest.

(ps, you put the decimal point in the wrong place)

This is the same advice I keep giving him.

Just been around a mates today and he has a BROS650 and no license and he will not leave the bike alone. It goes ok but until it gets used he should leave it alone but he wants to mess around and he will just devalue and damage it. Same goes for you Toby.

Ok I'll take that on board.

I'll invest it in a decent lid and look after it well this time.

Think I might need £100ish to service it when I get it though.

wow thats not bad at all for free Thumbs Up

I agree with you sell the cg for £800 then spend £100 on a service then save the rest for your next bike Wink

I know I have mentioned it before but I bought my bandit 600cc for £1200 and that only had 3.5k miles on the clock and is a 1999 reg with only 1 owner from new with a fsh. I've had it for 5 months now and its been great. It is a perfect first bike and very reliable.

How come your getting it for free anyway?

Have to agree.

It'll surely do you for a while, even if you don't keep it long, it'll be good enough to gain some experience on.

Battery and C&S alone would be more than £100. Bike looks tidy enough, I tend to avoid anything old, and anything too obscure, looks like this is both! Thumbs Up
