yes...

arse fuck !!

angled t-junction, island at the t-junction forces the road to swing left before you can turn onto the road. Hit a patch of gravel at the island, and locked the front. managed to get the brake off, and back on again, only to lock it again as I crested the kerb, and hit the only fucking signpost on the island. did a rather groovey forward roll over the traffic island.

As i'm hauling the bike out the grass on the island, and pulling bit of dangly plastic off, a car came past.. turned into the junction an swung round, stopped and the window was wound down...

"how do I get back onto the By-pass" she shouts...

Rolling Eyes

Suspect the forks are bent and twisted. Bike's not running straight and the front wheel's rubbing the pointy bit of the fairing lower/bellypan. one smashed headlight, and the rest of the front fairing is rather messy. Pannier seemed to do a good job og keeping the rest of the bike off the deck, and doesn't appear damaged. Managed to ride/limp it home (was only about 10 miles away) and everything else appears to be working okay.

Will see properly in the morning.

lower back's scratched, and my wrist's a bit stiff, but other than that i'm fine.

arse feck bollox!!

Only people from alabama are inbred/retarded/redneck enough not to know/care about the fact that the biker had wiped out!

£800 for all the bits. Top left and right fairing panels, top center fairing panel, headlight, mudguard and fork stantions.

They should arrive Wednesday morning.

Now the question is... if I manage to blag a couple of days off work, will I have the FJR ready for my France trip on Thursday evening?

You might if you don't find any other problems while you're fitting the new parts. Good luck and condolences for finding yourself on the deck in the first place.

You still haven't answered the bypass question though Mr. Green

Cheers

I've stripped everything off that's broken, so I can't see anything else that's broken, including fairing mounting points, yokes, and headstock. I know the head bearings were ever so slightly notched, and am prepared for them to be a bit worse now, but I am expecting the worst. going to strip the forks this weekend in readiness for the new stantions.

Spose I'd better buy a manual :s
