can anyone recommend me somewhere i can get a decent motorbike toolkit, comprising of stuff like a socket set , screwdrivers, pliers, and a toque wrench. also, do socket sets have to be specific to motorbike?

I'd recommend Halfords Pro, build your kit up as you can afford it with the bits you need. (Or just get a huge kit if ya rich!!)

Sockets are not bike specific, but there will be a certain range of sizes to fit certain bikes etc. A breaker bar is useful as well as a ratchet.

Screwdrivers - stubbies are handy, and make sure you get a big, long, hefty flat headed one too - often known as a 'bonking stick'. Laughing

Most my tool collection is from car boot sales.

No reason to buy tools new imo.
I've picked up a toolbox full of sockets & spanners for under £10.

another quickee.. what do torque wrenches do? do they have a little dial with the Nm?
