Are the jet sizes used in a dynojet kit the same as normal jets?

Because of the tuning on my bike dynojet have told me to change the main jets to a DJ136 which I can get from one of their approved dealers, but there aren't any that are easy to get to.

I realise the DJ is dynojet but would a standard mikuni 136 jet be the same?

No.

Mikuni( and keihin and dellorto) number the jet sizes due to the flow rate of the jet. Dynojet number it based on the diameter of the hole.

a 132 dynojet main is something like a 120ish mikuni jet.

dynojet kits tend to use leaner main jets and richer needles.

Any idea what the step up is on Mikuni jets? is it like 5 or 10, 120-125-130 or 120-130?

DJ's go up in 2's as in 146,148,150

Mikuni go up in 5's as in 160,165,170

These should be roughly the same as this is my set up in the Raptor.

But personally if you use DJ's also use the sharper needles but if you can stay with Mikuni's as you should be able to order the jets in what ever size through Yamaha as i have done tip is on the part numbers for the jets the last 2 or 3 digits are the size so easy cross match to a machine well thats what i did Very Happy
