Hi my gf's nan gave us there old pc and its loaded with win me,i instaled winxp over that and now when i boot up it gives me the choice to load up xp or me,now when i try to load up it gets to the bit just before desktop and hangs there,the pc has 2 hd on it,i want to just use one of the hd and do a fresh format of winxp on it.whats the best way to do this?

Unplug the hdd you dont want to wipe, put cd in power up and away you go.

...But is the PC up to the spec required to run XP? If not it doesn't matter what you do , you wont get it to run.
