know nothing about the type of work, i wasnt qualified enough for any engineering work on railways

i'd snap it up, nothing electrical will ever be /that/ much hard graft (not trying to downplay or insult anyone, just in my experience, electrical and electronics never gets that heavy physically) and with 4 on 4 off you should never be too exhausted

I don't do engineering but I do the same shift, 4 on 4 off and its awesome Thumbs Up Cool

And think, if you book off 4 days holiday, you get 12 off in total, being the 4 days either side of the holiday you would of had off anyway Thumbs Up

Tenuous link, but the husband of someone at work is a railway engineer somewhere in the same sort of area, and he reckons its quite a good job. Not too much shit to put up with and free rail travel too.
