Just checked my bank and found £120 in there! Turns out to be fee refunds from Barcleys for overcharges!

But they are about 200% down on what they owe!

Over the last two years must have been charge £2k plus! In one month alone we were charge £150 alone in charges!

Well at leasts its a start!

I understand that, but it isnt as easy when you have bills etc coming out that were not accounted for.

Thats why you get a huge overdraft limit.

Does no one have any concept of credit?

I'm pretty sure that most banks have now changed their fees so that they fall within the £12 limit that has been ruled acceptable, so I don't see how you are going to claim that back.

I'm a little confused as to how you already know that charges are going to be levied in September. I suggest that if you are basing that on bills you know are going to come out, you contact the people you owe the money to and explain the situation. It is not in their interest for you to get into further debt, and they are legally bound to at least make an effort to assist you.

Give them a call and see what happens, but you can't keep running up bills and then expecting the bank to write them off, because they won't!

I receieved a letter today from Halifax giving me the useal bull about going overdrawn ect. They owe me 457 pounds roughly.
They have offered 136 quid as a goodwill gesture.
Now, do I give the middle finger 'gesture' Rolling Eyes and keep asking for the whole lot. or accept it Confused

You either get a letter or a online statement that tells you that the charges will be taken out on 'X date of September'
