Snettertons a good circuit, although it's mainly a power circuit, just be careful on the braking at the end of the straights.

I don't know if your aware normally you can camp at the circuit the night before (£5) which is quite handy if your not local.

I was going to look at staying up there, but my friend has lent me her Merc sprinter which is fully kitted out with tail lift and ground anchors for putting bike in, so we are going to go up in that.

More important than than power is corner speed at snetterton - I've taken GSXR1000s on the revvet straight an older R6 thanks to getting on the power a lot earlier.

Also slowly move your braking markers back - the decent riders on SV650s don't brake at all at the end of the Senna straight and hardly at the end of the revvet straight.

As ever, start braking early, then slowly move the point you brake back and make sure you stay comfortable with it.

At the end of Senna Straight into Riches by the end of the day you shoould be able to just let off the throttle and go round that corner quite fast without the need to brake.

Sears corner goes on for much longer than you would initially think, however use the most out of the run off for a quicker apex. Got my knee down for the first time on this corner.

Revett Straight I believe is the fastest straight in the UK, however you wana be braking just before the bridge quite heavily for the Esses, the first corner isn't bad, but the second is quite difficult.

Next you go onto the bombhole, watch out for bumps on this corner, my Bandit handled them well due to the pure weight of the bike, but this corner can be done very well at speed ready for Coram curve, which is a 90 MPH corner, the corner in which I overtook a Ducati 999 on the outside (I always need to add that bit in Laughing) You will get faster and faster on that corner, however towards the end I was trying to increase the speed so much I almost ran very wide at the end.

After this long curve you have the dive down towards Russells, a very intricate chicane and one the only challenging left handers on the course, was the only place I got my left kneedown.

It is a great learner track but i'm sure for more experienced riders it is worth it!

Jon, if he's on a CBR-RR and is getting on the power decently, your braking suggestions will probably see him in a field!

Start with comfortable braking distances and decrease them slowly.

It's best to not use the extra run off at Sears, at best it will not disadvantage you too much; you've got to get a good balance between getting on the power early and having decent corner speed in the first place.
Usually those taking wider lines lose out slightly to those taking a slower but tighter line who have already got hard on the power.

Be careful with russels - the left hand side of your tyre will be cold, so again make sure you only increase your drive out of here by a small amount each lap.

AGreed, there's decent run off at sears to use if you're right on the limit looking for more track, but to be honest I wouldn't, it's feckign slippery.

I took a little detour across teh field there after the MZ back end stepped out and snapped back putting me up onto the tank.

The bombhole and corams is where teh fun happens.
