Re another persons post about time going quick.
Why does time go quick , or at least seem to go real quick even when in reality all that time could have dragged super super slow....
last week was dragging slow with horrible work which was uninteresting (more so than usual) and tedious to the extreme , but thinking back it seemed to go by quickly.
what are your theories on this?
My own personal theory is that your memory is made up of land marks and boring day to day job stuff does not create too many land marks and hence your memories of that period are somewhat empty.
While my trips out of town have involved some serious ride outs and proper fun which I have plenty of vivid memories about and the time seems to have felt slower.
Any suggestions?

i cant understand the concept myself.
i clearly remember that when i was at primary school evenings seemed to last forever. between the hours of 4pm and 9/10pm seemed like an eternity from leaviing school and getting home to change then out to play before dinner then out again after dinner until bed time.
now when i get home from work it feels like five minutes until its bed time again
perhaps im just getting older and the memories older still ____________________ duck my sick! |

Dunno, but I reckon it's probably to do more with frame of mind than anything else.
Last week, for example, I'd taken a few days off work. I pottered round for a bit, watched some of the racing and generally had a nice time, thank you very much. The time flew.
This week, my fella has gone away touring Scotland for the week and I'm back at work and the time is dragging like you wouldn't believe.
My theory is...maybe...that when you're somewhere you don't want to be, or doing something you dont want to do, you're constantly clock watching; whereas when you're enjoying something, you don't actually look at the clock and don't notice the time. Therefore, you always get the "is that the time?!" when you do eventually check the clock.
