I currently own a 125cc pit bike
It has been running fine for weeks but when I took it out for a spin the other day and changed into 3rd the bike make a clunking sort of noise and the bike was jolting. It sounded like something was slipping or missing (I dont really know how to explain it). First I thought the chain has come off but it wasn't that, i thought it might have been the chain slipping but it had enough tension and wasn't that. I tried running the bike in 3rd gear with the wheel was off the floor so there was no strain on the engine and it ran fine. Its only when its pulling me along and i'm only light lol. Can someone please help.

knackered dogs on the gears? maybe the cogs in 3rd have become partially stripped and are slipping against each other.

Aye, the chain-slipping-under-load feeling in any one particular gear is usually down to worn, and soon to be buggered to the point of uselesness, dogs on that gear.

Get the wallet out....
