On saturday evening 34yr old Darran Lindsay one of northern irelands best road racers lost his life when he hit another bike at Killalane circuit. He had 3 young sons and a wife. Full story at https://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/motorbikes/5331460.stm

Heard unconfirmed report about this accident last night, I believe that the other rider involved was Raymond Porter, absolutely gutted as I have watched them both over here at the TT, both excellent riders.

I heard about it last night as well but wanted to make sure before i posted. He was a great rider and will be missed.

Yeah, I heard about Darran Lindsay on Saturday night. Sad

He was one of my "top tips" for TT success. I remember speaking to him last year, when he'd come off at Mayhill (he was fine - he bounced into someone's front garden, and a kind car broke his fall!). Lovely chap. RIP.
