does it matterif i have a nobby front tyre and a on off road tyre at the back will it invaid my insurance

as long as the tyres are both road legal, it shouldn't make any difference, although riding with a combination of offroad and on-road tyres is asking for trouble in terms of handling.

Proper Knobbly's are not road legal, and also no good in the rain (on the road). So be carefull.

As above and road legal Knobblys walk when you go around corners so competition ones are going to be lethal even in the dry. Not reccomended. Thumbs Down

Proper off road tyres are not road legal and you will be commiting an offence rendering the vehicle unroad worthy and your insurance probably invalid. I'd change them, especially as you're likely to fall off the thing on knobblies and on cold wet greasy tar!
