Islamic Terrorism

I am sceptic regading Islamic Terrorism. I'm not denying it doesn't exist but I do believe our goverment exegerates the claims and stages their own terror events to strengthen their grip on us.

The most simple example is this.....

To protect us the government has removed certain civil liberties (such as the right to protest near the houses of parliment), or the forced introduction of ID cards.

So we give up certain liberties so the government can protect us.....

Further to this we invade foreign nations to fight the terrorists at their own door step, so we're not fighting them here.

If this was true though and our governmnet was fighting for our freedoms then why is our border control literally unchecked? Instead we loose our freedoms and little much else.

This rings true in the USA as well, where borders have been poorly monitored whilst billions is spent fighting abroad to protect freedoms.

So if a terrorist wanted to get into the UK they could easily slip in illegally, stay with sympathisers and detonate a bomb in a shopping center or cruise liner, which have extraordinarly lax security.

The war on terror is bullshit.

Agreeded but we cant exactly pull out of Iraq now, but it'd be nice to see the same stance against home grown terrorists as they do to the War on Terror in Afganistan and Iraq.

Exactly how much grief do they need to create on our soil until the government turns around and tells us we are going to be protected with maximum force?

There might be a war on our own land in the near future, and we've let the opposing forces in because they've said they know who the queen is and where to buy fish and chips. Rolling Eyes

It defo needs sorting, need to see exactly what is going on in these bloody mosques, we need to tighten our borders now also. Because its getting beyond a joke. Im all for a multicultural soceity, but like most on here, i dont want some fucking muslim terrorist preaching their bullshit in a prodominantly Christian/Catholic country. If you dont like our western way of life, FIT IN OR FUCK OFF.

I'm not so convinced that 7/7 was an terror act committed by suicide bombers. And, in my mind, there is no way there was ever a liquid bomb threat. In the simplest of terms, if I wanted to cause maximum damage with highest chance of success then why the hell would I plan to bomb a target that had the highest security and bigest chance of failure?

This is terrorism at its best, there are Islamic terrorist but they are in the tinyest minority of muslims. But the actions of these few can and will cause absolute 'terror'. The trouble is with the internet, mobile phones etc and the backing of some wealthy half crazed mad mullah, they are much more sophisticated and technologically advanced than the days of black September.

I can remember the constant plane high jackings during the seventies and eighties.

They've moved on somewhat, mores the pity.
