Hi all well got my bike 12th september now your all probably thinking why wait untill now to post, well silly i have been out and about most days riding lol.anyways was a bit scared at 1st to get on it but that soon went after 5 mins what I can say is that although I am stepping up 625cc and extra 70kg it is such an easy bike to ride.I still cannot get used to the engine braking on it sounds weird when you drop the throttle off and the engine braking kicks in as the nsr125 does not have one as such well not that you would notice, petrol isnt to bad at the moment getting around 170mpg out of it should rise as I get better with the throttle and gear change.I would recommend one for the price as it pulls like a good un and the hornet and sv650 are a little under powered as to the z750 so for the price v cc v mph etc then I think the z750 is a good choice I have made. Now all this talk about the mirrors being rubbish is to me at least poor talk I mean how many bikes have such good mirrors at speed you dont have a first or second glance over your shoulder ? before you take that overtake I always look over my shoulder even if the mirrors were so so good as you cannot see to much really anyways.well not long for the 600mile service beginning oct BTW I find it a big learning curve to remember the side stand before selecting gear have had it cut on on me a few times could kick my self.I have fitted a rear hugger which I got from BMF just gone for £30 from skidmarks it is normally £65 but mine was from the slight seconds tent still I dont mind it isnt as if someone is going to look under the wheel for the scratch and I saved £35.might fit a bigger screen on it as the original one is poor at anything over 80mph or in strong wind, the engine pulls like a good-un in 5th or 4th when overtaking and that my friend compared to my other bike is a treat no more knocking it down 2-3 gears for the big O hehehe just have to remember to close the throttle as the bike will keep pulling which is not so good when you only want to overtake the first few cars (the bike would overtake 10 in a line lol if throttle was left open)
I took the wife on the back and I kept the speed down as it was my first time taking a pillion and her's too on the bike she said and I quote the seat is comfy and the pegs are ok could do with being a little lower but no big deal now my wife aint small and skinny but as bikes go that was a good reply the only trouble I found was braking she slid into me crushing me balls to the tank and when climbing up in speed thought she might of come off as the bike went lightish a few times Laughing she also didnt like the grab handles so going to get some love handles from motrax and erm a top box for her to lean onto.like I have said the bike is well easy to ride and I am no barry sheene etc and my back tyre proves it as I only have 5 mm to go on the leaning side of things after only a few weeks on it.

Nice Thumbs Up
Know what you mean about pillion sliding down and surprised you havent moaned about the terribly uncomfy seat yet Wink
170mpg how in hell Shocked Laughing i think you mean to tank, im currently getting about 40mpg but i hoon everywhere.
I highly reccomend a bellypan if you can, keeps all the crap off and improves looks dramatically.
They have wonderfull handling and when you get used to it they lean forever.
The engine braking will be different, even from the 600 its a lot different, its because of the power of the thing, you need to go down gears faster and its fast in first also which means you need to use breaks more.
Now get yourself over to the Z750s forum and join, links in my sig.
Congrats on the buy and enjoy! Thumbs Up

I never really have a problem with the seat yeah it's firm but it has to be better than the seat's you get on the r6 and 1's if I get uncomfortable then I can just pull forwards then move backwards or just lean on the tank but to be honest the seat for me is fine.No matter what you have a seat will numb your ass in time my car for example after 250 miles my back and arse are worse for wear untill half an hour later and yeah the tank will do more if you dont pan it all over the place ride and bike reckon near the 200 mark from top to empty but then that is sensible riding isnt it Twisted Evil hehe

Nice bike mate, I just bought an '04 Z750 and I love it too. Different seat unit to yours, mines off the Z1000 and omg how hard is it? My arse was in ribbons after a couple hour's hard riding over the cat and fiddle. Enjoy it Smile I'm going to buy a gel seat.

Good cheap bike, I have the Z750.

I fancy getting one of the bagster seats, as I end up having to stop near the 100 mile mark.

I have the official screen on myne, absolutely tiny compared to the S. Never been botherd by windblast yet, but I am used to it. Wouldn't of thought windblast being a problem on the S as the front looks huge.

Think I've been getting around 140 miles to a tank. I tend to play abit on it in 1st-3rd which doesn't help. Also got an akro exhaust and powercomander which makes things a bit more lively. With the zx9r flywheel I've fitted it gives it even more of a hooligan factor when accelerating. It accelerates stupidly fast now sometimes lifting the front, and thats without playing with the gearing.

I want to fit a 636 frontend but am low on funds.
