I'd guess it could be useful once you got used to it, but I just wonder if it's be a little too distracting??
I've had my bike licence for a year, but only recently started riding regularly... and even tho the rear view thru my mirrors is never gonna be as clear as the car, it's already clear enough to be safe IMO.

I think that they'd likely sell those helmets to new riders / riders looking to try a new accessory?

Guess you would need to try it out before you could make a decision. Despite what they say I just think it could be disorientating particularly at night when people have headights on. I can't believe that the images they show are a 'true' representation of the view you get but I'm happy for them to prove otherwise. I would't buy one but I would try it out.

I'd like to try it. I can't see squat in the mirrors over 60. I wonder how clear the rear vision is. I wonder how long it would take to get used to it.

I had a copper follow me for ages before he stopped me. He was cool though. We talked bikes for a while and he helped me out with the reason I was speeding.

I was playing with these at the NEC last year..

the mirror is just above your regular field of vision, so a quick glance upwards will bring it into view.

It doesn't show Much.. I found it was enough to tell you if there was something there, buit not what is was.. with wind buffeting, any rotational movement of the head meant the narrow field of view of the rearview system was sweeping broadly across the road, and was difficult to identify what was happening behind you. Like I said.. you could see there was somethgin there, but not what it was, or even how far away it was, accurately.

They could do, at the expense of you looking like a cock.

They aren't for everyone, perhaps you could get used to it, but i thought it was shite.
