Where to buy bikes?:

I was going to get this bike yesterday , he's sold it to somebody else , I'd bloody looked at it and it was v good condition.

whenever I look on ebay , autotrader bikes are almost always too far away (and as per siggiesque experiences going far to get a bike isn't good).

so other than the usual suspects:

www.ebay.co.uk
and
www.autotrader.co.uk/bikes.jsp

anywhere else I can look ? ,

www.adtrader.co.uk

www.loot.com (not good for my area, though)

If I want a 'cheap' bike/car my main source is usually getting the adtrader paper on the day it comes out. Ring up the lunch time of that day for a viewing that evening.

Still, some of the better bargains have sometimes sold before lunch time!

Hacks are easy to come by within my range of 10 miles there is:

a CX500
a CX500turbo
7 NTV600/650s
lots of old VFR750s
lots of GT550s

I'm looking for a nice NC30, all on ebay are at least 90 miles away, auto trader similar.

every step you take = one back , I've been up to 170 miles and looked at the bike and it was a lie and in crap condition distance = petrol AND difficulty in getting it home (since I have to ride there to ride it back and I can't ride two bikes) I hate pub transport period.

For tartier bikes, MCN as well as bike trader are usually good bets.

The for sale section on Visordown is usually quite good as well.

If you want an NC30, the greybike site (is it still going?) might be worth a look.

I've always thought that it'd be nice if there was a system where the seller paid for your travel costs and you reimburse them if it iss as described Smile
