My question is this , so what does increasing the bore do , more CC = more power but what does this translate into ? , higher top end? , faster acceleration? ,
I mean this in a home rebore type thing rather than like kwak reboring its 600 to make the 636 , since they can obviously tune the bike around this to utilise the 36cc effectively.
and what be the bad points? , things like changing sprockets with more or less teeth , increase acceleration but reduce top speed. being of the school theres always a down side to things.
Why you may ask , as said I'm constantly on the prowl for a nice Nc30 and found a very strange alledged to be rebored NC30 which had been rebored (allegedly) to 450CC.
Any thoughts?

A big bore kit should give you a power increase right across the curve, because it gives a direct increase in torque all the way through the rev range. Depending on what kit is fitted there may be other differences other than cc. For instance with my bike the Wiseco 810cc big bore kit gives 72 cc more, plus an increase in compression. It also includes forged pistons which are less likely to melt through further tuning work than the stock cast items. If you have a power increase you will doubtlessly get an increase in acceleration and top speed. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |
