sorry to hear it was stolen!
Datatool are truely sh*t!!!
You have to be really close to arm/de-arm them,
if theres a police/ambualance station nearby the fobs dont work and you have to push the bike 100 yards down the road and try again or get the fob as close to the box as poss.
its easy to rip out the alarm and immobiliser
very expensive
if someone stealling it puts the bike into a refrigirator van then the alarm cant be heard ____________________ Paul

1. Only if the battery in the fob is dead or dieing
2. So rare you wouldn't believe it.
3. As is any alarm but one I fit will be screaming its little tinny head off before you get your grubby little mitts anYwhere near it.
4. As are all approved alarms
5. Same with all alarms using a legal decibel sounder.
Next uniformed person please. |
completly disagree with you there on a couple of points....
1. Both Fobs were brand new and the batteries were fine - and it did the same on mates ones
2. Hapened every time i went into town (while i was living in Coventry) - and the advice i was given by Datatool customer servi es was to push the bike a 100 yards up the road
As you pointed out and i was well aware, that although the alarm will go off, its still easy to rip out, and again with the van theres nothing that can be done.
I was just pointing out that for such an expensive alarm it doesnt seem worth it in the end. Cheap alarms off ebay seem much more worth it imo ____________________ Paul

soz hear bout the bike missing, can't imagine anyone here being connected, the amount of bike stolen post over last few months is alerting and more so the comments left in comfort, this forum is a bike chat forum, not a bike 'nick' forum so had to say that, as for the alarm, my brother had a cheap sh1t chinese alarm on his ts125, but local scum came took bike at 9am one morning, alarm was so effective, we forgot he had it on!
anyways, hope it get's found/returned good luck
theiving scumbags, what did happen to capital punishment, hands + axe = they might think twice next time they see a bike not tied down. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. 1. you dont want one that works from miles away. my mates vw transporter has really sensitive alarm / locking remote, it will work upto 70 feet away and through walls. he has locked it, gon on to the site where he works, accidentally unarmed it by knocking it in his pocket and had all the tools lifted.
2. any approved alarm works on a limited frequency band. if one alarm is transmitter is disrupted by other sources that are on close frequencies, you'll find any other approved alarm will be as well. ive heard other people complain about other alarm makes in petrol stations, but my s4 works fine in petrol stations. ____________________ 1988 TZR125 : 1990 RD350YPVS/ RGV250 HYBRID : 1982 RD80LC : 1983 RD80LC : 1994 RGV250 : 1991 TZR125 / CR500R HYBRID : 1976 BENELLI 500 QUATTRO : 2006 TRIUMPH 675 |
