I'm in the same boat as TOM M. There's nowhere near me to cater for that kinda thing apart from the Tamworth Snowdome but it's not really the same!

I intend to get snowboarding lessons at Mt. Ruapehu when I get to NZ. It is the best erm place there for that kinda thing so I'm looking forward to it! Will be a laugh at least.

Snow this year is gonna be fun!

Will be riding the off roader in the snow Cool going to try some stunting on it in the snow too for a laugh..

Want to go France snowboarding one day too, done dry slope, much fun but want to go do the real thing! I just can't stop though Laughing going down the hill isnt so bad but getting back up and stopping at the bottom is a bit more tricky Laughing

Snow's nice to look at out of the window and to build igloos/ snowmen with. That's more or less it I'm afraid. In any other situation, it's a pain in the arse. Smile

Never been skiing before for some reason so thought this year I'd best get off my arse and do something about it before middle age catches up on me. So a few of us have booked up for a week in Les Arcs/ Vallandres (anyone know it?) for just after Christmas; hope the place is suitable for total beginners but there's always the apres ski to fall back on if the skiing doesn't work out.

Snow is great.
I'll be in Alsace this christmas, so we'll see whether we get a coating.

Hopefully will in early January when the rat race starts again Thumbs Up

I love snow, I love watching the Infrastructure of the UK break down at the sight of at least 1mm of the white stuff.

Learnt to snowboard about 4 years ago now, kept it up for a bit but have now stopped due to money.

Realy want to get back into it and get going again, maybe get me a trip to france or something in a years time.

As for snow in general, i love it! Cant wait for the sledging down the side of the dual carraigeway, and the "snowboarding" on skateboard decks with shoelaces to tie your feet to them Laughing

Used to race when I was at uni.. Dry-slope stuff tho, short course slalom, and I was shit Very Happy

I ran a trip to les Arcs for BUSC in 2000(i think) and have skied in many of the large french resorts. hadn't been skiing for a while due to money, and commitments, but started back last season with a week in Zell..

I'm hoping to do a week in italy this season.

Considered doing my BASI, but coulnd't be arsed dealing with teaching snow-plough every day, and looked into the BASP qualifications, but prefer just to ski for myself, on or off-piste. Don't have the fitness to ski freestyle and moguls like I used to tho Sad
