A separate Richard Hammond forum for all these impending daily updates. Oh, and can we have another one entitled "I'm Too Stupid To Watch News Programs/Read Newspapers/Listen To Radio News", too please?

TIA.

On a more serious note, why don't the mod's use phpbb's merge function?

There was blatently 3 or 4 threads on exactly the same thing, they can easily be merged, why isn't it ever done?

Afaik, phpbb doesn't have a merge, that's why we never use it.

If it does, it's bloody well hidden!

Fair point!

Might be worth looking at something like this, Korn?

https://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=149057

I think a merge function would be very good for times when there are 10 threads started at the same time on the same topic.

You can merge already, if you goto move a thread you have the option to move individual posts to another thread IIRC ( without having access to the admin controls of a phpbb forum i can't confirm unfortuneatley and i'm too lazy to install webserver+mysql+php+phpbb just to check Razz )

I admin a phpBb forum and you can only move an entire thread, not individual posts from what I can see.

You can move a selection of posts from one thread to a new thread, but not add them in to another already existing thread.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years, 17 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
