the nephew on his "unrestricted" dtx pulled up along side at some lights and was giving it some big revs to show me and anyone else who would watch how fast the dt gets away from the lights.
so the lights go green and he drops the clutch and as he stalls he realises he is still in 5th because he just rolled up without changing down.school boy error i know.
but then i stalled because i was laughing so hard,i was quite embarresed at the time

I was showing off doing racing starts at every traffic light with my mates. But one time I pulled a wheelie which I wasnt ready for and jumped off the throttle, Me front wheel came down with a thud and I nearly fell off the bike! Worst thing was loads of chavs where on the street courner so they probably thought I was a wolly..

Mind you I was wearing my hoodie at jeans at the time so maybe they thought I stole it and I was really cool Thumbs Up

A red face can be guaranteed by forgetting to remove the disc lock from your 'bike as you try to leave Tesco with your shopping...

...you will also damage the lock so that even once you've got the 'bike back up off the floor, you'll not be able to remove it.

Don't ask me how I know, I just know - OK?. Embarassed

how about not putting the side stand down propperly, having your bike fall down only to be caught by your knee and a plant pot?

then having to take off helmet/gloves/bag before being able to manovure self in such a way to get the bike back up (supporting weight on your knee the whole time)

that wasnt fun last night Razz

Getting back on the bike having stopped at a roadside cafe for a cuppa.

Damn thing wouldn't start, not even turn over. Thought the immobiliser was playing up.

On the 10th attempt, another biker says "is it in gear mate"

D'OH!! Embarassed

Yup, disklock, in a restaurant car park after a romantic-ish night with the girlfriend. She was on the back at the time aswell.

Not only as I tried to keep it upwards I was twisting the throttle with the clutch in with my other hand, so it was screaming its head off with /everyone/ watching.

Another good one, on the way back from brands to watch G last week. I went to one of the auto-pay things at the dartford bridge. Had to wait for an attendant to come and open the barrier.

Never been so glad I had a full face helmet on.

Tried racing a gpz900 lol. Revved the tits off my planet, slipping the clutch. I Increased the revs, dumped the clutch and promptly wheelied. It was my first wheelie of a decent size, and to be honest it scared the shit out of me since i'd crashed only 3 weeks earlier. The gpz just calmly rolled away into the distance. Bastard.

Anyhoo, quacker should be along in a minute with his guide on how to wheelie a cbr Whistle

erm, bought my 1st bike just last week, and on my way home stopped at a Tesco petrol station to fill it up for my 1st ride....

I was feeling rather pleased walking back to the bike, got kitted up, started her up and revved the throttle just to hear the grunty sounding engine....
slipped it into gear and went to pull away when the engine died Shocked

tried starting her up again, try to pull away, and the engine dies again Evil or Very Mad

Sat there looking like a prat, trying to restart the bike, and considering ringing the guy I'd just bought it from.... when I looked on the floor to my left.... the kickstand was still down Rolling Eyes Embarassed

Slipped the kickstand back up, and rode away rather briskly Laughing

I did a similar thing last weekend... pull into garage, forget to put side stand down, keep leaning and leaning untill * fuck * was too late, couldn't pick it back up so had to let it go all the way and then get off it Neutral... anyway, was saved by several push bikes so the only damage i could see was the indicator had been bent on a push bike but they are meant to be bendy so it's alright... want to replace them when i find some i like anyway Smile...

A biker pulls in front of a car at the traffic lights, revs the whole time until the lights change, then he accidentally wheelies it, falls off and smacks his head on the bonnet of the car behind ! Embarassed

got the ZZR and it kept stalling once when trying to pull away from a petrol station. The Divvy used to cut out immediately if put in gear with the sidestand down. The ZZR only does it when you then let the clutch out. Sat there for a minute or two revving, trying to pull away and stalling until I realised... Smile..

My dad's put down the side stand before, then proceeded to lean it the other way. He was lucky, it didn't hit the floor- Just the metal post, leaving a nice dent in the tank...
I laughed at him, till I realised he'd taken my bike to work that day. Bastard.

Not had any stupid 'racing' mistakes of my own, yet (namely cus at a restricted 33bhp, I can't exactly race..), but I've had my fair share of riders try to race me anyway, including one guy on his R6.
He loves tearing away from me at the lights,, and at the next set, and the next set. Then as I was undertaking him on a roundabout, he wasn't too happy. He eventually vanished down the A329.
Fast as you like in a straight line, but couldn't filter or corner for shite...
I say none, the obvious 125 noobie blues, where you try gunning it and just stall infront of a crowd of people.

Ah. Wait, wait. Top box. ooh yes. Forgot about it one day, heading down the A40. Dodged a van mirror with my head. But the box didn't move out the way. Lots of glass on the floor (and my rear seat) as I flew away as quick as possible...

yep had the bike about 1 week popped over to kawasaki to check out some gear. I was happy as shit too because I was looking at a bike at another shop across the road and wasn't impressed by their service etc. So wanted to pull up right out front so they could see I'd gone else where. This also coincided with a bbq out front of the shop, so lots of people.

Upon riding off or attempting to the bastard just kept stalling. SO after about 4 attempts I realise Ive got the side stand down.
Lots of people had a grin that day.

First day my rs125 got deliverd, bloke wheeled it out and started it up all was good i was really excited but no tax, so had to take it round to the garage (just round the block). People looking out of their windows with me on my new bike sat there for 20 mins and it wouldnt start, rang my mate up, rang my dad up and even rang the garage back up and no one could figure it out. dad pulled up got out and flick the engine kill switch, started straight away Embarassed

Garage then rings up and says 'oh yeah i didnt think of that' Surprised

Can bikes not go through these automatic barriers?

Bikes don't pay!

You need to put a pound in it to get the barriers are open.

That's why bikes are meant to go to the manned barriers.

There are big signs over the Auto-tolls that say "Cars Only" - kinda gives the game away.

The automatic tolls on the M6T can sense the type of vehicle and charge the right toll. In theory.... Don't ask me how I know, I just know - OK?

Confused
