My bike came with one.

No idea what i'm meant to do with it to clean it.

Saw something on the internet about some solution, but that
looked to cost more than a normal air filter.

Plus I notice zero difference with it in compared to a normal filter.

Just blast any shit out of it with compressed air, no need to oil it

coffee can full of VERY hot water & laundry detergent, let the filter soak for 10 minutes or so then rinse it out under a tap..re-oil it with MMO

Why would K&N make filter oil if their filters didn't need it? it's not essential but it will add an extra layer of protection from moisture and dirt.

I read claims that K&N filters can increase MPG and most of them sound nice and help with tuned setups, alone they wont do much.

Yes they do, the oil is what catches all the dust as it passes over the fibres of the filter. If you don't oil the filter you may as well just take it off as it would be useless.

Marvel Mystery Oil in the red & black can, also used to lub air tools etc. Bit thinner that *geniune* K&N oil & 1/20th the price. It's the dogs bollocks Smile
