Adjustable rear sets

Hi,

I'm just interested on the views from people who have adjustable rear sets on their bikes.

I've always thought I'd be more comfortable and in a better riding position if I could move my footpegs back a bit. Now, I know rearsets usually result in a more cramped position due to them usually being higher but I've seen some rather fetching Arata ones that are only a fraction higher but adjustable backwards and forwards.

What are your experiences with them?

Had them on a few bikes, never bothered to adjust them, though Smile

Although it's more cramped, I do prefer a 'rear set' peg, so was happy to leave those on my ZX9 fully rear set.

Worth considering is the adjust plates you get for standard foot pegs - cost less and give you a decent range of movement without (even more) expensive metal to break.

I,ve got harris ones on the fireblade, had to put them right forward as other wise taking a pillion was painfull due to the postion and the way l had to support the weight with my arms.

Had fixed Valter Moto rearsets on my GSXR when I bought it. I didn't like the position and put the stock set back on, which I'm much more comfortable with. The stock ones also fold which is a bonus when navigating heavy traffic (if I have to stab a foot down I don't want my calf muscles gouged because the footpeg won't bend).

My rearsets are currently on eBay, with a £10 start and no reserve. If anyone here wins them, PM me and I'll remove the pressure-switch banjo and revert to the stock switch saving another £10.
