Hi guys,

Finally got round to doing a service on my bike (it needs one, apparently lol). I've done everything else i can think of, chain and sprockets, oil and filter, the works...except i cant get to the blasted spark plugs!

Anyone know what to use to get to them? i bought a deep ratchet (i think that was what its called) set but its just impossible to get to it!

Any advice?

You need a long tube spanner. The sparks are down in a recess and the wall of a normal plug socket is too thick to get down into it. Make sure you clean all the crap and gravel that accumulates down in there before you remove the plugs. I use blu-tak on a stick to pick it all out.

The spanners aren't expensive.

Oh yeah, there is a tool in the kit that comes with the bike for removing them. You'll probably find this twists itself into two seperate pieces before the plug moves.
