Big Brother is not only watching you - now he's barking orders too. Britain's first 'talking' CCTV cameras have arrived, publicly berating bad behaviour and shaming offenders into acting more responsibly.

Big Brother is shouting at you

Where will it end? Are the police just getting lazy? It's bad enough that we're being watched all the time nevermind having someone shout orders at you when you step out of line.

It's just as bad as having someone hide in a bush stalking you and jumping out with a mega phone if you do something wrong.

It's nothing new alot of companies and my own work have had stuff like this for years. I think being introduced into the public sector could be a good thing, Group of chavs outside a shop or a bus stop may be more hesitant to do something harrass someone if they know for sure they are being watched and are told so!

You also are caught on CCTV in the most unlikely of places.

Last night I had to stop cycling as it was too dark, unlit country lanes with flashing LED's as a headlight don't work. So I stopped at a pub and phoned for a lift.

After sitting outside this pub for 30 mins, which is 5 miles from the nearest small town and probably has a local population of 50, the landlord proceeds to come outside and check I'm ok as he's been told on the phone by Sevenoaks (about 20 miles away) that I have been sitting outside for a while.

Turns out this pub in the middle of nowhere has CCTV connected to a large county wide system. The pub was occupied by wealthy people no younger than 40 and only about 20 of them, why do they need CCTV?
